Radio Shack to host grand opening event

RadioShack Corp. plans to host a grand opening event this weekend for its recently opened Longmont location in the Harvest Junction Shopping Center.

The store, at 225 Ken Pratt Blvd., is RadioShack’s second company-operated store in Longmont and the sixth in Boulder and Broomfield counties. The Fort Worth, Texas-based company also has locations in Boulder, Lafayette and Broomfield.

The new Longmont location is 2,500 square feet and features the company’s latest design, which officials describe as contemporary, warm, and intimate. The grand opening weekend, scheduled for Friday through Sunday is like an “open house,” and a way for residents to “get to know us,” said Wendy Dominguez, a RadioShack spokeswoman.
