Patty Jones Deen, 89, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 at the Berthoud Living Center. She was born August 8, 1920 in Providence Forge, VA, the middle of five children to Emily Fore Burton and William Jones.

She is survived by two daughters, Scotti Reynolds and her husband Tom of Longmont and Palm Desert, Calif., and Susan Hier and her husband Ed of Kiowa; a granddaughter, Brooke McKivett-Gibbs and her husband Keith of San Pedro, Calif., a great granddaughter, Maya Jane McKivett of San Pedro; a sister, Irene Wilson and her husband Elvin of Fredericksburg, Va.; a brother-in-law Harrison Deen and his wife Miriam of Clovis, N.M.; a sister-in-law, Jane Deen Bradley and her husband Ray of Leesburg, Fla. and numerous nieces, nephews and grand and great grand nieces and nephews.

Services and cremation have been held and were entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Service of Longmont. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P. O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011, www.alx.org; or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
