Valerie M. Good, 70, of Longmont, died March 5, 2010 at Longmont United Hospital.
She was born December 14, 1939 in Yugoslavia to Ludwig and Maria Herbstler. She immigrated to the United States in 1952.
Valerie graduated from St. Leo’s Catholic High School for Girls and Wright State University Nursing School. She was an O.R. Nurse Technician. She moved to Longmont from Erie in 2004.
She was of the Catholic faith. She was a member of National Kidney Foundation and the National Historical Society. Valerie enjoyed horse racing, knitting, playing bridge, arts and crafts, and attending all of her grandchildren’s plays and sporting events.
Valerie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joe Herbstler.
She is survived by two sons, Jim Good of Louisville and John Good of Erie; a sister, Monica Craig of Tacoma, Washington; six grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew, Ryan and Alexandra Good, all of Louisville and Fred and Sam Good of Erie; four nieces, Kristi, Jennifer, Cathy and Diana and nephew Mike.
A funeral service will be held 11:30AM Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel. Cremation at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation and mailed to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
