2010 Longmont pet licenses available now: Cats, dogs, pot-bellied pigs required to be licensed by Feb. 1

Pet licenses are now being sold at the Longmont Humane Society. Under City of Longmont ordinances, all cats, dogs and pot-bellied pigs living within city limits are required to be licensed. City licenses are valid for the calendar year and expire on Dec. 31.

Licenses for pets must be bought by Feb. 1. Pets acquired after that date may buy a license through the humane society.

License fees are $15 for spayed and neutered animals and $25 for intact pets. Licenses may be bought through the mail or at the shelter. Go to www.longmonthumane.org, then “Other services” for more information.
