Lyons, Niwot high schools tabbed as among best

Two St. Vrain Valley schools, Lyons Middle/Senior and Niwot High, were chosen by U.S. News & World Report in its third annual list of America’s Best High Schools. Both top-performing schools earned silver medals in the magazine’s rankings.
U.S. News reviewed 21,786 public high schools across a range of performance indicators, including proficiency standards and college-readiness performance indicators, to choose their top high schools.To earn a silver ranking Lyons and Niwot ranked in the top 3 percent of public high schools in the nation.
Niwot High has earned a silver medal ranking every year since U.S. News began the list three years ago. This is the second year in a row that Lyons Middle/Senior’s has been awarded the silver medal.
