St. Vrain students win statewide arts honors

St. Vrain Valley School District students have received honors in the arts this semester.
All-State Choir:
Longmont High School: Brandon Mosness and Taylor Hubert. Niwot High School: Adrianna Adams, Becky Stischer, Katie Stenzel, Kristin Dahlem, Eric Moore and Victor Nguyen. Silver Creek High School: Claire Koerner, Summer Sugg, Andrea Pares, Pete Stein, R.J. Cooper and Brandon Cabaeld. Skyline High School: Kyle Meinhart, David Jaynes, Jasper Vue, Patrick Coniway, Jesse Horner, Kate Robison and Sarah Cross.
Students selected to the All-State Jazz Band: Lyons Senior High: Andrew Forsberg (vibes), Stirling Bowlick (baritone sax) and Nicholas Kalyan (guitar, alternate). Silver Creek High: Ben Sarlo (alto sax).
Students selected to the All-State Orchestra:
Longmont High: Alex Chavez (trumpet). Lyons Senior High: Andrew Forsberg (percussion) and Stirling Bowlick (bass clarinet). Niwot High: Laura Chren (flute), Jonathan Lin (violin 2), Ying Ying Sun (violin 1) and Tara Sugadhan (viola).
Marching band competition: Longmont High: 4A State Marching Band, Quarter Finalist. Silver Creek High, 3A State Marching Band, 6th Place.
