A 57-year-old man who hired Robert “Tattoo Bob” Landry to kill his ex-wife in Longmont in 1981 has been denied parole for a fourth time.
Herbert Marant was sentenced to life in prison for conspiring to kill Mary Ann Bryan, 27, of Longmont, who was dragged out of a pharmacy at gunpoint and murdered.
Marant first started coming up for parole in 2001, but every time the board has denied his appeal and set his next chance for parole three years out. He faced the parole board again on Monday, countered by members of Bryan’s family who want him to remain in prison for the rest of his life.
The board decided this morning to deny parole, and Marant can next ask to be released in 2013.
