St. Vrain Valley School District officials on Wednesday canceled free H1N1 shot clinics after state and Boulder County health officials notified them that they did not have enough vaccine.
The clinics, which were scheduled to begin Monday and run through Dec. 10, were to have been held at district high schools and operated by health officials from Boulder and Weld counties and the Longmont Clinic.
“We truly don’t know at this point” if the clinics will be rescheduled, said district spokesman John Poynton. “We’ll have to wait and see when these vaccines are physically here in the county and at our disposal.”
Shortages of the H1N1 vaccine, which has taken longer to produce than originally expected, have shut down or delayed shot clinics around the nation.
District officials suggested Wednesday that people check www.stvrain.k12.co.us for information about whether the clinics will be rescheduled.
