Need a Unique, Local Gift? Our Readers Share Their Favorite Stores in the Longmont Area
There are times where you just want a unique gift for someone special–something that isn’t mass produced, or that’s been curated by a local expert.
Or something you can go pick up in person that doesn’t need to be shipped to you.
Even better if it’s a consensus favorite that’s highly recommended.
Here are the Longmont stores that our readers said are their favorite places to experience, enjoy, and share with others as of 2025-2026.
Top Pick: Cheese Importers
If you’ve been around Longmont for very long, you know why Cheese Importers is the consensus favorite.
If you’re going to visit around a holiday, however, prepare for a line, but the ambiance is so enjoyable, you might just make a new friend in line or find a new thing to purchase while you wait.
One of our readers said, “Cheese Importers is an immersion in beauty of place and merchandise in a historic building. It used to be archive storage and the cold room that kept older papers from deteriorating is now a walk-through refrigerator that holds the cheeses from around the world.”

Flower Bin
Another Longmont icon is the Flower Bin. Our readers think it’s not just a store for warmer weather, it’s a great place for holiday and special occasion gifts as well.
Janet called it “a wonderful, and unique mix of blooms and gifts.”

The Tree Farm
Admittedly, The Tree Farm is popular Longmont area store, but might not be what you typically think of for a great place to get a unique gift. But it’s on this reader-curated list for a reason. And what’s not to like about a gift that keeps on growing?
It’s also great for smaller giftable items like seeds, gloves, tools, etc.
